Simone Biles

Simone Biles (born March 14 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) American gymnast who was considered one of the world's top athletes. In the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in one Games and she was the first gymnast to earn three consecutive all-around world championships (2013-15). Biles as well as their younger sibling Adria were taken in by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles' grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston region) was raised in Houston. Simone was interested in gymnastics at age six during school field trips to Bannon's Gymnastix where she was a regular for 11 years under the supervision of her coach Aimee Boorman. Biles took home a gold medal for the floor and bronze in vault during the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010. Then she re-entered the elite level of competition in 2011. Her dominance in the sport came within a mere two years. Biles was recognized for her unwavering performance, charismatic personality, and the difficulty she encountered in all four events: vault uneven bars floor exercise.
